Protection

One morning, I was pulling out the driveway to head to work. As I reached the stop sign at the end of the street, the car indicated one of the tires pressure was low. I’m on my way to work, you know morning rush hour is difficult, and this was a detour I didn’t need right now (I don’t like to be late for work 😖). Anyway, I had to find the nearest gas station quickly. (Yes, I know how to fill air into tires. LOL!) I figure I could stop at the closest one by my job would be best, but in the back of my mind I didn’t want to risk it.

I planned to go to the first gas station along my route. I hit another rode block, I didn’t have any loss change available. This meant I’d have to go to a store to get change in order to use the air bump. In my mind, this entire process seem like a lot to handle for morning commute. (This is all without any caffeine to keep my energy going, 😆). Long story short, I made a quick stop at 7-11 to purchase a sandwich for my friend and I, plus to get change. I stopped at three gas stations, no available air bumps and passed 2 locations by mistake, until I I finally found one. When I arrived, there was a truck blocking the bump, so of course I had to wait.

What happened next? Once the truck finally moved, I drove up to the air bump, walked over to it, only to witness in big letters; OUT OF ORDER! WHAT! God, help me! I’m going to be late for work! Immediately after those words, one of the workers came over and I told him the bump doesn’t work. He told me to drive up to the garage where he pulled out another air hose. My prayer was answered, not only did I get the air, he put the air in all my tires, but it was totally free. Thank You God for sending someone to help me! God, came to my defense!

Whats the point of this story? Yes, I’m getting to that now, LOL!

The point is when all of Your solutions/strategies have failed. God is the only source and the only solution. We cannot seek to conquer the enemy by our own strength, otherwise what would be the purpose of God. We cannot assume we know when the enemy will attack or what his strategy is. The enemy is very cunning in his attempts to attack us. We need to call on the Holy Spirit to protect us. Only with Gods full armor can we guard against the enemy attacks. Yes, it is as simple as the attack of low tire pressure, to the stress of finding a gas station with a working pump, to not having money and facing an OUT OF ORDER sign. The enemy will use simple tactics to pull us out from under the armor of God. Even in the most simplest ways, we can become the real us, the old habits can manifest. But God will give us the grace to endure these trials.

The enemy knows, he has no way of penetrating the armor, but he can use outside elements to draw us out, removing a small piece of the armor. This will give the enemy a slight advantage to seep in to cause havoc. We are only at our best with God when we’re not confronted by opposition. But it’s during the unexpected occurrences when our faith is tested. Are we confident to say, we can naturally respond in Faith, even when circumstances are chaotic? The importance of Gods word, is not to just read the words or to appease God, but to develop a deeper understanding of who God is in our daily lives. God is our source of protection, but not just on paper.

God will deliver you. God is greater than your troubles!
