Don’t be in such a hurry

Lately, I have taken the liberty to enjoy a quiet moment. Put the books away, turn off electronics, pens down, and slow down. Slow the pace of my heart, breathe in and out, allow the peace to take over me. It’s all about Me Time. We take ourselves for granted. Sometimes, we don’t give ourselves a break. Responsibilities can wait, it’s time to put in for self care.

There is something so beautiful about being alone. There is a difference between feeling lonely and being alone. At times, I prefer to spend time alone. I do enjoy being around people, but it can be overwhelming. I still have the introvert tendencies, which is we need time off from being around a crowd. I guess for some it may sound weird to enjoy alone time, but its really not. When was the last time, you really shown yourself some love? Go to the movies alone. Go out to a restaurant alone. You don’t need anyone to validate your worthiness. Meet the real you who hasn’t been given the chance to shine. There is something amazing waiting inside of you. God wants you to meet you. You’re awesome on your own.

Discover Who. You. Are. Don’t be in such a hurry. There is much to be learned. Don’t rush to be ahead of everyone, be like everyone or fit in with everyone. It’s ok you’re not in every group. You’re always apart of Gods group. You are branded as His creation from when the moment He formed you in the womb. The greatest gift you can give yourself is accepting yourself. Trust, you are enough. You’ll enjoy the identity God has placed inside of you.
