Advent-ure: Rediscover Christmas Day 3

It was beautiful to see the snow covering the world. Even, better I was able to go into work later. Which meant, I could sleep an extra hour and half. If you’re like me, my body doesn’t work that way. Suffice to say, I was up, early anyway. LOL!

Mary accepted the Lord’s request without hesitation. Mary embodied a strong relationship with God. Her unfailing trust in the Lord, is evident as well in her son Jesus.

Mary answered, “I am the Lord’s servant. Let everything you’ve said happen to me.” –Luke 1:26-38

The Lord favored Mary. He specifically chose her to carry and conceive a child. A child named Emmanuel, “God with us”. God took on human form and live among us. He laughed, ate, wept, slept, experience feelings of sadness, anger, and happiness. He walked among us. He lived a sinless life. His life existed to bridge the gap and reconnect our spiritual line back to God. The Creator came to be as one of the created. We are created in his image, to commune with Him.

In the beginning, God created Adam and Eve. God was with them. He walked with them every evening in the garden. Even though, they sin against God, His spirit never left them. An ever present guide. Similarly, Jesus walked among the people. Crowds upon crowds gathered to see and touch Jesus. Jesus demonstrated the love of God, by living among humanity. God humble, set aside His brilliance to become human, even took on death just to be with us forever. God came so we could have a deeper and meaningful relationship with Him. The key is Jesus. Through Him we find the Comforter, omnipresent. Our soul is the beacon of God.

Take a few minutes tonight to sit with God. Put aside the baking or to-do-lists. Spend a few minutes listening to worship music, pray to Him, and meditate on: “Emmanual, God is with me”.

God, You are with me. You have never left. I am never alone. My surroundings feel lonely, but God you are right there. God, you surround me every day. Help me to see more of you despite the traffic all around me. When you walked among us, you’ve shown me how much I am valued. God you set aside your brillance to become one of us. You humble yourself with humanity and got to know what it is to be one of your creation.  God help me press this truth in my heart whenever I feel lonely or sit alone. God you know how I feel. Because……God is with me.

Thank you for being with me always.

In Jesus Name, Amen!

  1. I’ve been following the leads I’m uncovering, and they led to Exodus 3:14. 2(3.14) again.

I was blown away and then had a good hearty laugh.

      1. He’s grooming me for something yuge, and I have no idea how I could ever accomplish pretty much anything. It’s a very strange dichotomy.

      2. Oh ok. 😅 My apologize. What’s the saying, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” God never has a dull moment in His infinite grooming skills. 😆
