Advent-ure: Rediscover Christmas Day 8

What a beautiful Sunday? It was nice to be around my family at church. I miss hanging with them throughout the busy week. I am so glad to be apart of this church. They always put forth their compassion to help others. đź’›

Scripture:

Reflection:

The Hebrew term Messiah means “the Anointed One”. King Herod acknowledge this miraculous birth. He wanted to go before baby Jesus and worship The Savior of the world. Many followed Jesus, but there were many who didn’t. Jesus didn’t fit into their expectations of royalty or mighty warrior. Jesus came into this world in an questionable circumstances and did not possess any earthly valuables. Jesus did not cater to mans law, He came to rewrite them. Personally, He threw their rule book out the window.

Jesus hung out with the outcast and uprooted cultural norms. This way of life disappointed many people, but Christ was not concern about winning popularity. Jesus came so that we could have a deeper relationship with God. Even though they rejected Him in the beginning. His sacrifice carved an imprint on many. Jesus is the One, anointed as the Savior. His sacrifice did not go unnoticed. He still touch the hearts of many.

This makes for a great group discussion with friends, family, or comment below. Be honest about the unknown and your curiosity. We always have questions, and Jesus welcomes them.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for including me into Your family. What a privilege it is. I sometimes talk for granted. You welcomed me, every aspect of me. Even as the world rejects me, You always accept me. I cannot fathom all of who You are. I tend to turn away and get pulled into the world. It’s not easy living this life. You continue to show me a different side of You I never knew. Thank You for showing me Your truth. I’m discovering a new thirst for life through Your lens. Thank You for being my guide. Thank You for loving me.

In Jesus Name Amen.
