I can Overcome

The enemy tried it, but failed. Don’t believe the lies. The enemy is no match against Jesus. The Lord saved us at Calvary, He will save us now. There is nothing the enemy can do to defeat you. You possess the greatness, proclaim the victory that already belongs to you.

He lost at Calvary, he’ll face defeat again. The personal attacks, setbacks, and circumstances are his way to derail you from making the next step. You’re about to come into a new spiritual level of confidence. The enemy tries to keep you from it. You’re so closer to God, the enemy feels the pressure of fear. We are made in the image of God. You possess the potential of an Overcomer.

Back in January, I went on a retreat with the church. They invited a guest preacher to minister for the entire retreat. Over the course of 3 days, we heard 4 messages centered around the theme: “Awaken”. Awaken Your Potential, Awaken Your Purpose, Awaken Your Pain, and Awaken Your Power.

Here’s one important piece from the message. It felt like, “Ooh, wow” moment.

We Love and fight from Victory, not for victory. We have overwhelming Victory from Christ Jesus who has already overcome.” We possess the victory against the enemy, the moment Jesus died on the cross, He overcame the enemy.

In John 16:33 Jesus says, “𝕀𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕, 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕥𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕓𝕝𝕖, 𝕥𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕥 𝕀 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕.”

But why do we cling to defeat? There is nothing the enemy can do against us. Jesus has already defeated the enemy and the circumstances. His blood covered us in victory. Jesus was the Salvation to save humanity. God called Him overcomer. As we abide in Christ, we, too are called Overcomers. Be bold and accept this position.

There is a power, so strong coursing in our veins. Put there by the Almighty God. He’s given it to You, take it and become who you were meant to be! Receive God into your heart and He will teach you to become an Overcomer. Your strength comes from the Lord, Almighty.

Pray with me: 

I will let my praise outweigh the circumstances I face. I have the blood of victory coursing through my veins. I am an overcomer. Today I receive the gift of victory to stop the enemy before he even starts. God, I invite you into my heart. Teach me how to be strong even though I feel afraid. I’m ready to claim the power which belongs to me. Thank You for the strength to overcome. I declare, “I am an Overcomer.”
