Layer of intention.

Setting intentions goes as far as you let it.

I love this quote. Puts a new perspective on why we want to be intentional about our goals. We can set the best intentions. Oftentimes, brushed them aside or forget them altogether. Realistically, nothing is set in stone. The best intentions are the pursuit and application of continuing the practice. Take this journey with me.

The idea is to cultivate a relationship with your intentions and let them guide the way. Allow time for it to grow and manifest. Give it space to flow. Be mindful of Why you set those intentions. It’s really a journey, not an overnight so of thing. An introduction to setting intentions (or goals) with the understanding of application. Nike said it best!

Just do it.

We will always do what feels good, but acknowledge the struggles whenever we want to achieve something greater. They exist, but behind the hard work is purpose. We must be resilience in the pursuit of our intentions while resisting the temptation of defeat. Recognize the Why of being more intentional, is where the combination of strength and persistence start to develop. Under the influence of being intentional, you will grow into confidence, even when the feeling isn’t present.

Ease your mind, to open up the gates for whatever you are moving towards. You have the best intentions, but it will require some elbow grease, sweat, and tears. Yes, I have cried my way through challenges when I began establishing a new normal, routine. I got over myself, but learn to accept my vulnerabilities. My intention was to keep going, to build a discipline. I wasn’t so focused on the results. I wanted to do it, so I could prove to myself I could. Now, my body loves the way it flows through any practice. The mat is where I can refresh and reward myself after a long busy day. I’m content to lay on the mat, but look forward to growth I’ll endure.

Yoga is a about moving at your own pace in a calm space. Flowing happily to achieve something greater. Savoring every moment. No matter what your day was like, whatever it is, take it to the mat and let the mat absorb the tension from the day.

I’ll see you there!

P.S. The first post of this yoga series is here, Recognize!
