What can we expect to gain from all of this?
This moment will go down in history. We’ll look back and see it as apart of the past.
But right now, it feels as though victory is so far away. Now, what am I supposed to do? Sitting in this apartment alone. I don’t like the space, I’m in. Isolation, I realized home just doesn’t feel comfortable. It feels like being confined in a space, when the sun outside echoes freedom. Why can’t we go back to social gathering? We’ve had enough of this social distancing.
Sometimes, it can be hard, especially being single. Who can I lean on? It’s hard not to give a hug. Can’t even hug a tree! Being at home doesn’t even feel comfortable. It’s become a space filled with anxiety, fear, and stress. It’s become to crowded. I can use some fresh air and I miss being around people. God, I need you to help me get through this. I learn to open the bible in my heart. Allow God to take care of me. Allow myself to be honest about my weakness and vulnerability. God knows I am weak, but I am strong with Him.
I was reading about Gideon. God called a man named Gideon to rescue Israel from their oppressors Midianites. Refer to Judges 6.
When God found Gideon, similar to David, Gideon wasn’t doing heroic things. He was hiding food from the enemy the Midianites. But God will use people we may deem unworthy to fulfill a grandeur purpose. God chose Gideon to rescue his people, the Israelites from captivity.
"The LORD is with you, mighty warrior." Judges 6:12
Gideon replies,
"But Lord," Gideon replied, "how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manaseeh, and I am the least in my entire family."
Gideon never hid his weakness. He was blatantly honest. “I am weak. I am the least. I am not cut out for this task. I have no idea what I’m doing.” Doesn’t this story remind you of Moses and the burning bush? But God wasn’t concern or moved by this. He knew the truth. He can see they could do more. Not by their own strength, but by His power.
The LORD said to him, "I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man."
Over the next few chapters, God was determined to prove how little Gideon weakness mattered. He reduced the size of Gideons army, from thirty-two thousand to three hundred. Then, God used the army to defeat the Midianites. Even though, the Midianites army consist of twice as many as Gideon’s army. God helped Gideon defeat them. Proving victory was already Gideon.
Deuteronomy 20:4 For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.
Gideon’s lack of ability or manpower, never frustrated God. God never lost patience with Gideon. Nor did God tell Gideon to figure out the details alone, with his own logic and resources.
After reading this story, I learned it was Gideon’s faith, as it started out slow, ultimately lead Gideon to victory. He wasn’t afraid to tell God he was weak and couldn’t do the job. However, Gideon didn’t give up hope. He went ahead and completed the assignment while being afraid. He started with little faith which conquered his fears. God used Gideons fear to fulfill a promise.
Don’t give up
Don’t back down
Don’t lose Faith.
God is mighty
God is powerful
God is patient
With God on our side, we will see the victory

This is so on point, to how EVERYONE is feeling right now. I’ve always wanted to work more from home, but not at its level. Your faith and what you believe in becomes the key focus. My focus is calm and peace, and WE will receive it.

Hey, thank you for this comment. I wanted to share my experience in hopes to let others know, what we feel is valid. But we are not alone. Faith will CARRY us through it. We cannot sit in the negativity, we have to hasten to what God promised. And reflect on the many times, He’s given us strength to overcome obstacles before. We need to be a community of support. I hope to encourage others to not give up hope.
