His mercy is everlasting

This past weekend my friend invited me to join her on a hike. At first, I wasn’t going to get out of bed. The thought of being in the heat and climbing the rocks, exhausting. Lying in the bed, I thought I could go back to sleep. I was wide awake. I kept hearing, “get up and go”. I texted my friend, “Lets go for a hike. Send me the address to meet you.”The Holy Spirit pulled me out of bed, dressed me, and put me out of my house, lol!

First, I stopped at the post office to pick up a packaged. Then, I plug the direction my friend sent me into the GPS and proceeded towards the destination. Along the way, the GPS took me to various spots, which was no where near where my friend was located. Normally, I would be frustrated and irritated, I felt it start to rise a little bit.

No matter what happens in the moment, instance, or circumstance, we can get turnt up quickly. But God is unmoved and unaffected by these occurrences. When I face a wrong turn or difficult situation, I rest in God to be my guide. In the tough moments we discover a deeper trust in Him and grow spiritually.

After I met with my friend and we began our walk. The scenery was so beautiful. We had a chance to sit next to a small waterfall. “Reminds me of the ABIDE app”, I said to my friend. “Yes, but when you get to see it like this, nothing else can compare”, she said. What a blessing to see His creation, His beauty, and His gift. And it was good.

We discussed a lot of things along the way. She shared some stuff that was pressing on her heart. “I woke up this morning feeling terrible. You know in a rut, I wasn’t sure I’d even get out of bed. Then when I received your text this morning, I changed my mind. Now, I’m really glad I came out here with you. Thank you!” Definitely confirms why the Holy Spirit kick me out of the house, lol!

We both needed to spend time in the presence of God. God had a good plan for both of us. Fellowship, to encourage and uplift each other. God always has a way through the difficult places, even a way out of a negative headspace. What we feel isn’t a surprise to God. He knows the best remedy to bring us out of a rut and back to life.

God thank you for giving us this time. Opening our hearts to receive your love and in return sharing the love with others. Help us to be sensitive to your love and be aware of your goodness each day. May we appeal to the Holy Spirit above my own feelings. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to be our guide.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

  1. Getting out in God’s creation is always a good thing, it can really rejuvenate us, reduce stress and anxiety. And when we have the opportunity to share it with a friend like that it is an even bigger blessing! Have a great evening Tiffany!😃😺
