It’s harder when family or friends dumb negative labels on you. Deep down we look for people’s approval. We want to feel accepted, but we never seem to live up to their expectations. You don’t need their approval.
God calls you by name. Calling you to be His sons and daughters. Don’t allow the negative voices drown out Gods love for you.
God will remove the negative labels. “You are His DAUGHTER. You are His SON. You have been created by His very own hands. The same hands who created the heavens and earth. You are a masterpiece. You have a purpose.”
You are HIS children.
Dear God,
many of us are wounded by the words people said against us. The pain they’ve caused with their hateful words still leaves a bruise on our hearts. God, help us see your scriptures in a new way. Speak to us, the moment we begin reading the Bible. Purge those negative thoughts from the forefront of our mind. God, what you say about us, is the truth. God let our eyes see, what You see. God let our ears hear Your words. God help us restore the confidence in you and rediscover who You say we are.
In Jesus Name AMEN!

That is very good and something I needed to be reminded of once again! It can be hard when a good friend calls one ‘useless’, but then we do need to keep looking to our God and realize that what He says is what counts. Thanks for sharing this!

Hey Tiff, thanks for sharing. Very encouraging reminder!
I have experienced this kind of issue, can be a bit draining. Who we are in Christ is so much more important thats for sure.
Peace to you

This is beautiful, Tiffany. “God help us restore the confidence in you and rediscover who You say we are. ” This reminds me of Lauren Daigle’s song “You Say.”
So many of our perspectives on life are wrong simply because we derive them from what the world says– not from what the Bible, God’s actual words, say. This is funny timing as well, because I literally just read John 8 last night and that verse stood out to me. Thank you for re-emphasizing it here. 🙂
