Glory | A Christmas Story Reading Plan

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men

– Luke 2:14

Every December, my family and I spend time reading and studying the story of Jesus. Although, the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John) recount Jesus’ journey on earth. Out of all the gospels, only Matthew and Luke record the stories of Jesus’ birth. Both books are often studied and preached during Christmastime, for it is His incarnation that we are celebrating!

For the next 4 weeks, we’ll explore the life of Jesus, his birth, his identity, and his plan to save humanity. I will share a verse, along with supporting verses, and a prayer. Please feel free to join me in this reading plan as a starting place. Spend some time reading and meditating on the scriptures. Write them down in a notebook or post them around your home. It may even help to listen to sermons that reflect the verses that speak to you.

My hope for this reading plan is that we will begin to fellowship with Christ within our hearts as we read the Bible together. I encourage you to discover a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Christ this Christmas. Enjoy the greatest love story ever told.

May this reading plan bless you and your family this holiday season! Please leave your thoughts and reflections on the readings in the comment section below. I’ll share some behind the scenes of my home with my family on Instagram. Please follow along with me!

May your December be filled with joy, peace, and wonder. Jesus has come!
