For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

Mark 10:45

Day 8-9 Reading:

(Take turns reading through this part of the Christmas story)

Luke 8

Supporting Scriptures:

Luke 9; John 3:16-21; Daniel 7:13-14; Philippians 2:7-8

Prayer:

Jesus, Son of God, I’m in awe of Your humility and sacrificial love. You laid aside all the glory and majesty to take on the form of servant while I try to hold onto worldly expectations and popularity. Forgive me, Lord, for my heart’s pride and desire to be better than You or others. Teache me how to be a servant, serving others. Teach how to serve others the gospel without fear but in humility and love.

Amen
